Cracking tempo with Neil and Without Parallel leading the way. COUPLES RETREAT (3) has come back a more polished mare this time in and gets the right set-up again with Fitzgerald's 3kg claim. Has further improvement in store after rounding up a similar field with ease over this track and trip. Hard to stop. BENEVAC (10) comes to hand quickly and adept in all conditions. Savaged the line first-up in the heavy (9) going when third to Couples Retreat. Can hold a position from the gate and play a leading role. RASKOL (12) showed good early dash and gripped on to run a close-up fifth over 1100m at this track. Will push forward and give plenty of cheek. ROYAL FLARE (7) lightly-raced gelding who returned from a lengthy break with a tough on-pace win as fav over 1200m at the Caulfield Heath. Looks up to this from the good gate. GORGEOUS (16) looks ready to win fourth-up despite drawing out. Firmer track in her favour and sure to go close. SUGGESTED PLAY: Couples Retreat can keep the winning momentum going.
