Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Skycatcher. NOBLER (5) progressive gelding deep into the prep and ready for the 2000m fifth-up. Jumped in weight on the tight Gosford track with a comfortable victory over 1600m in weaker company. Didn't beat much last start and can keep the momentum going with the in-form Grima aboard. Since fitted with a Rosehill 1030m tick over trial. Hard to stop. KING PEDRO (4) improved quickly out to the 2100m with a gritty second to the smart Monopolistic over 2100m at Gosford. Should be ready to peak and can race closer from the sticky gate. Top-three contender. BELLE DETELLE (8) just over three weeks between runs second-up with a slashing second over 1800m here in the heavy going. Ready for this trip and look for making good ground along the inside. SKYCATCHER (10) progressing well in easier company and stretches out to this trip for the first time. Stalks the speed and can play a leading role. SUGGESTED PLAY: Nobler can make it three-straight over the 2000m.
