A race that lacks early pressure on paper. TRISTANIA (12) gave away a considerable start at Corowa last time before hitting the line well to finish fourth. Nearing peak now and will likely be launching again from her wide draw. SHALLOW RIVER (6) got too far back last time at Albury but was making some late inroads when it was all said and done. If he can settle closer this time and the tempo is genuine, he's in the mix. OUBAITORI (5) made progress last time out, finishing third over this trip at Corowa after being prominent at the turn. Rock-hard fit now and is one of the key chances. THESANDMANCAN (8) should be poised to run a big race first up from a spell following three recent jumpouts. Not taking lightly. STILL CONNECTING (10) has struggled to make an impact so far but is still lightly raced and gets the chance to improve in a thin contest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Tristania.
