Expecting a strong pace headed by Areprice, Invincible Chase and Warrego River. PEARL OF DUBAI (8) made it three minor placings in a row when she battled on gamely but found a couple better over 1100m at Hawkesbury last start. That run followed an eight-week break so she will strip fitter. Still a maiden but she is a Black Opal placegetter so she has the class to win a race like this. MARFFIANO (1) won the Bendigo Gold Rush on debut then wasn't the best away but made late inroads in the $1 million race at the Gold Coast three weeks ago. Ideally placed over an extra 200m today and if he jumps well is a live chance. AREPRICE (2) led for home then battled on well for fourth in the same race as Marffiano at the Gold Coast when fresh from a spell recently. Key contender with that run under the belt. PALMANOVA (15) steps up in grade after a couple of minor placings at the midweeks since resuming. Gai and Adrian juvenile who cannot be underestimated, particularly with blinkers going on. SAY YOU WILL (10) caught the eye first-up and will be more effective out to 1200m. SUGGESTED PLAY: Pearl Of Dubai each-way.
