GOING: G

Mitcon Projects Open 1200m

Track: Good   Rain (Max: 29)   Rail: True.

Expecting a strong tempo over this journey. Impossible to go past the top Alice mare DAKOTA LEE (1). Has won 14/16 including an effortless all-the-way win at first try this circuit last time. Keeps creeping up in the weights and rises a little off the last win but a small field suits and will take beating again. With the huge pull in the weights, the equally speedy DEVILS DELIGHT (6) looks the biggest danger. Former Victorian who won here fresh with 59.5kg and although this tough, will strip much fitter and plummets in the weights. Should give a huge sight. SPANISH FOX (3) is a former Queenslander making debut for the new yard. Has won this trip and best figures measure up. Keep very safe. FLYING YISHU (2) was no match for Dakota Lee latest but freshened for this and can run well on best. ARIZONA ACTIVIST (5) is back in great order for the new yard and can measure up again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Dakota Lee.

Form hard to fault. At the latest run favourite; scored a big 3.5 len win at this track Hcp May 23 over 1300m defeating Awash with 61.5kg at $1.65. The start before that favourite; won by 1.75 len at Alice Springs Pioneer Sprint May 2 over 1200m defeating Boldinho with 61kg at $8. Well placed. Bonny mare with a superb record and is the one to run down despite the weight.
