Genuine tempo with Khafre, Highly Lethal and Ayteem taking up forward positions. AYTEEM (7) dug deep and fought all the way to the line over 2000m at New Plymouth when trying to go end to end. He is nicely placed again at the weights, and he will be the one to peg back again. KHAFRE (1) continue with his great form here last time in the Jackson Stakes, sticking on well for second by a nose when looking like the winner close to the line. He tries a middle distance for the first time, and his breeding says it will not be an issue. Hard to beat again. CHEVAL DE FOUDRE (5) continued his good form this prep and was again close up when finishing runner-up over 1600m at New Plymouth last start. He is unbeaten in 2 starts over this trip, and he will again be hard to hold out, especially with 6.5kg less to carry. KOPUA (3) has been battling a touch in his recent efforts but he was not far away 2 starts ago and he can have a say in the finish this time. Include. MCKHAN (6) only peaked on his run late last time out, and he will be at his peak for this. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ayteem can win this.
