HIREPOOL OPN 1360m Track: SOFT 7 Out 4m |

Mr Mojo Risin' and Turn The Ace can lead the small field. BELARDO BOY (1) resumed with a strong effort before getting too far out of his ground last time in the Rangitikei Gold Cup at Otaki. Fitter for those runs and he has won twice third up in the past. He is expected to be far more competitive in this. MR MOJO RISIN' (2) has been thereabouts in some good fields, winning his penultimate start, and he should appreciate the drop back in class here. There will be no problems on a wet track, and he can figure in the top 3 here. OUR JUMALA (4) was narrowly beaten by a nose when resuming, charging home to dead-heat for second over 1400m at New Plymouth. She is a quality winter performer, and she can go one better here. URENUI (5) resumes after a break and he usually needs a run to get ready. He loves it wet, and any market confidence could be worth following. LOVE JANIE (6) resumes from a spell, and is probably getting ready for the poly track season, but if she is fit, then she is still worth including in all top 4 combos to be safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Belardo Boy each way.
