GOING: S(7)

56 ELECTRICAL BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 900m

Track: Soft 6   Clouds (Max: 22)   Rail: +8m Entire.

Lots of speed predominantly from Giddy Girl, No Statement and Thrilling Venture. HONEY PERFUME (2) has suffered a couple of rare unplaced runs of late, most recently when beaten under two lengths over 1000m at Kembla. Given a four-week break and trialled well in the interim at the Beaumont track. Untested over this distance but with a stack of pace on she will be hard to hold out. THRILLING VENTURE (8) raced on the pace and held on well for a close third last time out in a similar race to this. Very fit filly who will put herself into contention and looks a serious contender. SMILING PROPHET (5) was there to strike but didn't quite get a strong 1200m here recently when second-up from a spell. Has far better third-up stats and she is a winner at 900m so a better effort looks on the cards. Back-marker ES SOIREES LA (10) caught the eye last start over 1150m at the Illawarra Grange. Has performed very well at both tries over this distance. Must be respected. GIDDY GIRL (1) has led all the way to win at both runs this prep. Back in trip but freshened up. In the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Honey Perfume to win.
