Expecting Victoria Road to lead Yellow Jersey at just a moderate tempo. VICTORIA ROAD (5) was very good two back in the Listed Brisbane Hcp over this course and distance. There to strike at Doomben last start in the Bernborough but he failed to finish off. Maher puts Nash on to stand over this quirky six-year-old - no surprise to see him bounce back to form. Veteran WELWAL (1) has been racing with renewed enthusiasm this prep. Came off a seven-week freshen-up when an eye-catching fourth in the Bernborough last time out. Will go back from a wide alley then wind up down the long Eagle Farm straight. WAR ETERNAL (4) proved his Bernborough win was no fluke when he took out another Listed race last Saturday. Hard to rule out. YELLOW JERSEY (2) last appeared in October when Group 2 placed in France. Market watch advised. SUGGESTED PLAY: Victoria Road each-way.
