I NEED YOU (6) is coming off a last-start fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1600m at this track nine weeks ago. In the money at Gr 3 level the run prior to that. Looms large over this field. GRAND OPUS (1) resumes today after filling a minor placing at her last appearance at this track over 1800m on March 28. Beaten only 0.7 lengths in a G2 before that. Should be hard to stop. CHAMPAGNE LIFE (7) is yet to break through in seven runs but has been thereabouts. Placed two back then was 0.9 lengths away in fourth over 1600m at Kyoto last time. Best form stacks up and she is among the chances. PIETANZA (5) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1800m at Kyoto. Has ability and a bold showing is expected.
