A race that lacks early pressure on paper. SURF'S UP (6) fourth-up today and can race closer from the inside draw. Snagged back from the wide gate and produced good closing splits in the conditions to finish an unlucky third over 1400m at Randwick. Stable apprentice goes on and can get the job done. JOHN DORY (12) one of several Waller runners with his hoof on the till. Strong through the line on the quick back-up with a tough third over 1500m here in weaker class. Can race a touch closer from the gate and has genuine top-three claims. ERTIJAAJ (8) gripped on late at her second run back for a tough win over 1500m here in BM72 grade. Tricky map but stays in the mix with the trajectory she's on. TARZING (11) showed good talent in his debut campaign and will be fitter for two trials coming in. This looks a suitable race for him fresh with the apprentice claim helping. SUGGESTED PLAY: Surf's Up finds her race.
