Strong early tempo with Le Jacques Cartier and Highly Anticipated leading the way. OBERON (6) is a progressive gelding who resumed with a fair effort for third in a 6-horse field on a very testing track at Hastings just over 3 weeks ago. He will be spot on now, and in an even field he will be the one to beat for us. ARWEN (7) has followed on from her tough but narrow win by a nose on debut by finishing third in her net couple of starts. She cops a wide gate, but if her astute stable lines her up, then she will be right in the finish again. LE JACQUES CARTIER (4) showed promise in all 3 starts during his initial prep, and a recent trial will have him ready to run boldly fresh. Check the market. JUSTICE FOR ALL (11) fought on gamely for second at New Plymouth 3 weeks ago, and she will be peaking at the right time for this. Include in all combos to be safe in an even contest with many chances. SUGGESTED PLAY: Oberon each way.
