The speedy Vegas On Fire should find the front with Montecristo right there. AKITU (4) is the one with upside off a maiden win at his third race-start, scoring narrowly at Cranbourne over 1600m when last seen. This looks a nice progression for him and the extra ground will certainly suit. Can step up. FLAMIN' ROMANS (5) resumed with a good run at this track over 1412m and will appreciate the rise in trip second-up. Drawn wide but could look to push forward and should take some catching. ENZEDDER (3) is a lightly raced type who should be ready to peak third-up from a spell. Hit the line well here last time and will be very hard to hold out. VEGAS ON FIRE (11) is coming off a dominant win at Donald on heavy ground. Must respect, especially if wet. SUGGESTED PLAY: Akitu to win.
