Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Multinational. The feature of the day comes up early and TRIPLE JAY (4) finds himself on top chasing the hat-trick. He was strong from the front here 21 days ago when winning by 0.4L in a high-rating effort. He's building through the grades nicely and has the speed to cross from a wide draw. Can repeat the dose. UPPER LIMITS (8) hasn't won for a while though did put the writing on the wall with a good return effort here 14 days ago. Up in trip suits and he maps for a much better run this time around. Has shown he has plenty of ability on his day and a race like this is right in his wheelhouse. MULTINATIONAL (3) has been in good form prior to entering the Beaufine 21 days ago when just run off his feet. This is a much better setup for him and he's likely to be prominent from the draw. Can make his presence felt. CRESCENT CITY (5) has a good record here and Pike riding suggests he's working well at home. Include. CORN COB (6) was solid first-up and can build on that effort. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Triple Jay in the feature.
