JASPER ROBUSTO (6) held on well to finish second when first-up from a break last time out over 1700m at Kokura Dirt after leading for much of the way. Expected to be in this for a long way. MIKKI STRIKE (9) opened this prep with a win two runs ago. Couldn't follow that up last time out when eighth over 2000m at Kokura, beaten 6 lengths. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. FLORAL SCENT (2) had a bit on her rivals when resuming last time out, scoring an impressive 4 lengths maiden win over 1700m at Kokura Dirt. Re-unites with Kohei Matsuyama who was on board last start. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again. LEGEND SHIP (5) resumes. Opened last prep with a placing over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt. One to consider.
