LORD PERCY (1) has switched stables since his dominant win over this distance at Warracknabeal five weeks ago. Has his share of weight but he brings superior form to this race and, if forward enough, can win again. Betting might hold the key. CHEEKY NUGGET (5) made it two minor placings from as many runs this prep when he charged home from near the tail to be beaten just 0.4 lengths over 1400m at Inverell last time. Best form comes at this trip. Will be very tough to hold out. ANOTHER GIFT (6) looked to have every chance when a disappointing seventh in a similar race to this at Inverell a fortnight ago. Gets in nicely after the claim so worth another chance. INTENSE (9) has each-way claims on the back of some sound recent picnic form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Lord Percy and Cheeky Nugget.
