Genuine tempo from Cawdor leading Soaring Eagle. BONNIE GANGSTER (6) is yet to strike through this campaign but has turned in some solid efforts behind some in-form types. Hit the line nicely again here last start and will prove very hard to stop if can take slightly closer order from the low draw. SOARING EAGLE (2) dug deep to knock off Maracourt two back at HQ and now meets him 2kgs better at the weights with the 3kg claimer hopping on. Not as effective last start but willing to forgive. MARACOURT (4) has been ultra-consistent this prep but has forgotten how to land the winning blow. Gets in low at the weights and only has to hold his form to be very competitive again. This could finally be his day. CAWDOR (1) got things on track last start when leading pillar-to-post on the Parks surface. Carries more weight this time but is aided with the 2kg claimer engaged. Drawn to advantage and will give backers a great sight. I NEED A DRINK (3) drops back in trip four weeks between runs and posts good best figures. Keep safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bonnie Gangster gets the nod. Saving on Soaring Eagle.
