Strong early tempo assured with King Of Numbers, Mohave Man and Pacific locking horns. KING OF NUMBERS (1) showed good improvement in his local debut over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. He would have come on from the run and with Gavin Lerena in the saddle, he can go one better. PACIFIC (3) ran a good race when second over 1000m on this course last time out. If repeating that effort in this field, he will be hard to hold out. DWIGHT EISENHOWER (8) ran a fair race to finish fourth on debut over 1000m on the Inside course here. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He strips fitter and should pick up a win at short notice. YUKON (5) is an unraced son of The United States from the Mike and Adam Azzie stable with top hoop Piere Strydom in the saddle. If not too green, he should give a good account of himself. The betting market will be the best guide.
