WARP SPEED (2) stuck on gamely after working hard at the Sunshine Coast last time out over 2400 metres, finishing third in the Caloundra Cup. That effort made amends for a couple of fair efforts before that. He cops another wide gate but has regular rider Michael Cahill back in the saddle and the pair merit healthy respect. On top. NAMAZU (1) is one of the best performers in North Queensland who is unbeaten in 4 starts on this track and is nearing his best again after having 3 runs back from a brief freshen-up. He steps up to a middle distance and a win would be no surprise. MOOLOOLABA (13) has been holding his form for some time with his racing well-spaced and will be spot-on for this after being run down from in front last time out on this track, finishing second for the third time in a row. A wet track would help him and with only 52 kilos on his back, he will take some pegging back again. FORTIFIED (12) won in a 5-horse field last start and is worth including in all combinations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Namazu each-way.
