He needed his fresh-up run at Pakenham on the poly track and steps straight up to a mile for this assignment. He drops in class and is capable of taking this out. HAND ME DOWN (3) was bought out of New Zealand after finishing fifth at Trentham on debut and then failed to fire as favourite in his Australian debut at Ballarat on the poly track there nearly 3 weeks ago. He is better placed on the turf surface here and is expected to be hard to beat. Follow your money. PURE THOUGHTS (7) was well-found in the markets on debut and did not offer much. He resumes from a spell as a gelding and his stable is running hot at the moment. Stick with him. Can win. BABY BUETI (1) is steadily improving with each start and whacked away when finishing fourth at Mildura last time out. The extra furlong suits him and he is poised to put his best hoof forward.
