The race pace looks to be nothing special in this 4250m lead up event to the Premier Grand National (5600m) next week. WEST COAST (1) is a deadset superstar jumper. He has had twelve Steeplechase runs for eight wins and four placings. Four runs here for three wins and a third. Big weight here but still looks like a lock-and-load in this. AULD JOCK (6) has run well in three of last four runs. Game second last start behind a star jumper at Prestige level. CAPTAINS RUN (3) has been close seconds in his last two starts. Competitive here for sure. HEY HAPPY (2) has been placed in two of three course runs. Has won on dry and wet footing. AL'S RED ZED (8) won his Maiden Steeplechase last start so this is a big rise in class. In a very astute stable however so cannot be omitted. SUGGESTED PLAY: West Coast is a win wager.
