Arlecchino and Rugiada to dominate the early contest ahead of the small field. ARLECCHINO (4) ran well on debut last start to finish second over 1800m at Tokyo in a tougher race. Likely improver so he should be in the finish again. RUGIADA (3) was well supported on debut last start and turned in a strong effort to finish second over 1200m at Kokura. Improver who looks a major player. COSMO CORONET (2) was in the money on debut before finishing fourth last time, beaten 4 lengths over 1800m at Fukushima. Has ability and can win without surprising. MIRADA CALIENTE (6) faced the starter for the first time last start and was just fair in finishing fourth at Fukushima over 1800m, beaten 4 lengths. Not to be discounted.
