Pace looks solid with Red Hot Love rolling forward. CITY OF BOULDER (12) showed some ability when trained in Victoria earlier in the year and did not take long to break through in this area for her new trainer when scoring easily at Cairns second-up last time out. She has a tougher gate this time but has the scope to work her way through the grades this year. DATINKA (8) won his maiden by over a length here in his penultimate start but could not back that up a fortnight ago in a stronger lineup on this track. He is much better placed here and with the benefit of a 2-kilo claim, he can bounce back into the money. HOLY CROWN (13) broke through for an overdue win at Rockhampton just over 3 weeks ago and as so often happens once the penny drops, she can go on with it. Stick with her on an each-way basis. EARLY FUSION (5) left a Sydney stable earlier in the year and was third fresh up for his new trainer at Mackay before leading all the way to score there 8 days ago. He is in a good space and can take the next step immediately. SUGGESTED PLAY: Early Fusion each-way.
