Strong early tempo with Delicate Ruler leading the way. CRUISE TO VICTORY (5) never really threatened as favourite last start when beaten 4.8L over the mile and drops back in trip today. This is a similar grade of race and his effort over a similar trip at Bunbury two back produced a figure good enough to win this. Pike sticks and he can return to winning ways. LOVA SESSION (6) ran on strongly from the back here last start to just miss in a photo finish and she draws a softer barrier this time. The blinkers go on again and if she can run up to what she did last start, she'll go close to winning again. ARNIE'S BOY (3) went close in a similar race two back and returning to this trip may hold the key. Live chance. ADVANCED (1) just missed as favourite last start and is not to be discounted. DELICATE RULER (7) scored a good maiden win last start and can build on that performance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cruise To Victory gets the nod.
