Although a few sit handy there won't be a great deal of early pressure. TANGO SPIRIT (10) drops back in distance after running a competitive race for 5th over 1540m here last start. Expect him to take beating in what shapes as a winnable contest. HEAVENWOOD (6) resumes for the first time since November and looks ready to run well fresh after posting a convincing barrier trial win at the Sunshine Coast over 850m on July 23. No surprise to see her right in the finish from a good draw. DEMES GIRL (5) was unplaced last start at the Sunshine Coast but the rider reported to stewards that his saddle shifted during the race. Before that she was placed at Toowoomba and Gatton and is worth another chance from the inside gate. JANNIK (2) has been back to the trials since finishing sixth on debut here at the end of June. Gets blinkers on and can improve. FAST FUSION (1) has been unplaced in both starts this prep but can be in the mix in this from a soft draw with a 3kg claim. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Tango Spirit to win.
