A slick tempo on the cards with Dixie Whistler and Badiss battling for the lead ahead of Perle Bleue and Call Me Vexatious. Interesting race to assess with many of the main players sharing form-lines. LAKE'S FOLLY (1) was beaten convincingly last start over the track and trip by Dixie Whistler but meets the winner better at the weights this time. Is rock-hard fit and only needs to hold his form to be featuring. DIXIE WHISTLER (2) bounced back from a disappointing performance two back with a determined win last start. Gets in 4kgs heavier this time but will once again roll forward and give herself every chance over a track and trip she relishes. KING'S CROSSING (6) has shown glimpses of being a talented type but just struggles to put it all together. Will head back from the draw and be saved for the final shot at them. SMILING ASSASSIN (5) shares the form-lines of Lake's Folly & Dixie Whistler, all three of them taking turns. Certainly has a case to be made. BADISS (8) has turned things around sharply in his last two and is another that warrants serious consideration, especially with Crowther taking over. SUGGESTED PLAY: Slight lean to Lake's Folly.
