Solid tempo with Le Heros leading from Poutchek and Express Payment. KALUMBURU (10) has been his own worst enemy of late, beginning poorly and leaving himself with too much to do. Steps up in distance today and the blinkers go on to keep him focused. Can run a much better race. EXPRESS PAYMENT (15) was lining up for just the fourth time when a narrow maiden winner over this course and distance last start. Goes up sharply in grade but he has drawn well and drops 3kgs with the claim. Likely improver. DIANA'S AFFAIR (13) hasn't been far away in his two runs this prep, both over 1350m. Ready for this step up in journey. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kalumburu each-way.
