Pace a scorcher, headed by Dusky Dancer, Dee Stormed and Gus The Bus, closely followed by Cosmic Serenade. DUSKY DANCER (5) was unplaced at Lismore last start but looks better suited back to the Poly track where he has raced nine times and only missed a place once. Was only run down very late when a close third here two starts ago in 1200m Class 2 and should give a great sight again. DOYLE (9) drops back sharply in distance after last-start 10th at Ipswich over 1690m on July 12. First go on the Poly track and rates highly on his best figures and has the inside barrier. COSMIC SERENADE (1) gets the 3kg claim for Corey Sutherland to help offset her big weight. Carried 62kg last start when she tried hard for third over this course and distance behind Sonny Daze and Veloce Meteor. Should be thereabouts again. DEE STORMED (3) broke his maiden last start at Grafton after going close the start before at this track. Expect another competitive showing. MARLEEDOONE (11) resumes and has placed in five of her six first-up attempts. Capable of a good return here from a soft draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Dusky Dancer to win.
