Very keen early battle with Porpora Ziel and Abrams matching motors and there are a few others that can keep them busy. LORD BLAZE (3) knuckled down strongly to get within 1.5 lengths of the winner in second last start over 1700m at Hakodate Dirt. Has been racing well all prep without winning and he should be in the finish again. PORPORA ZIEL (6) stuck on well last start to finish third over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt after showing good early speed. Hard to beat in this suitable race. QUARTZITE (7) was expected to do more last start when out of the placings over 1700m at Hakodate Dirt, beaten 8 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. VAL D'ORCIA (5) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 9 lengths away in eighth over 1800m at Sapporo. Well placed to make amends.
