Expecting Exalted Fire to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. QUITE THE LASS (7) has caught the eye in both runs back, most recently flashing home from last to fill the frame. The rise in trip is perfect third-up and she gets a key jockey booking in Crowther. Plenty to like. AITCH D'AMICO (5) worked home solidly into fourth here last start in what looks a good form race. Is another that should appreciate the rise in trip at this point of the prep and gets in well at the weights again with the 2kg claimer re-engaged. Can give this a shake. RIVERPLATE (2) was an impressive winner here first-up over the 1400m. Not as effective last time when sent out favourite in testing conditions at Narrandera. Better placed this time and reunites with winning rider Todd Pannell. Right in this. EXALTED FIRE (1) failed to go on with it in the lane last start after giving a bold sight. Willing to forgive on best efforts as she returns to a track she likes. RUDHYAR (4) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Quite The Lass to win.
