Genuine tempo with Battle Fleet leading the way. THE KAMIKAZE (7) raced on the pace but failed to quicken and missed the frame last start over 1200m at this track. Probably looking for this distance now so with a nice run up front he will be tough to catch. BATTLE FLEET (1) has been about the mark all prep including last time out when he led but found one better over 1500m at Goulburn. Very fit and has placed 3/3 at the trip. Definite contender. DEVGRU (4) is rarely far away but is now 17 starts without a win. Closed well in a similar race here a fortnight ago. Each-way chance. FLYING JEWEL (5) put the writing on the wall last time out and should be peaking at the fourth run back. VILLACH (8) returned to form at Wagga last start. Back in trip but still a contender. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Kamikaze each-way.
