PORT ELIZABETH GOLD CUP 3200m Track: GOOD Clouds (Max: 16) |

---|---|---|---|---|
Zatara Magic, Bournemouth and Peace In Our World to vie for early honours at a solid tempo. BATTLEGROUND (4) stayed on well when third of 12 over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course last time. He finished third in the Listed TAB Gold Bowl in his penultimate start, over this distance. The booking of S'manga Khumalo is a big plus and he rates well as a leading chance. BOURNEMOUTH (2) is better than his last start run would suggest. He returns from a spell which would have done him the world of good. On his best form shown, he should go close to winning. ZATARA MAGIC (1) was in need of his comeback run over 1400m lasts start. He will strip a much fitter horse and can return to best form. PEACE IN OUR WORLD (3) resumed from a spell last start and looked well in need of the run when finishing 12th over 1400m at this track. In a fitter state can place.
