Strong tempo with Nightfall Sun, Wojtek and Fairly High leading the way. HOPE LOA (8) is back after a break of six-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1400m at Kanazawa. Now under the care of new trainer T Tsunoda and should be primed for this. NIGHTFALL SUN (9) turned in a fine effort to score by 5 lengths at this course and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. Perfectly placed and is sure to be there at the finish. FAIRLY HIGH (11) has been thereabouts without winning, the most recent offering a third at this track over 1500m. Takahiro Imai has been in the money at the last three rides. Sure to be competitive. HASUNOMI (1) was in the money two starts back but was unable to repeat the effort last time when 11th here over 1500m. Open to improvement and should be about the money.
