Goes well at this trip, recording three minor placings. Key runner. DOLCE RETURN (8) made considerable ground in the run home to finish third last start over 2000m at this track. Suited by this small field. Best form puts him right in this. RED VARIATO (1) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish fifth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 2200m at Chukyo. Was out-dashed but got going late and looks suited by the extra ground against a small line-up. Among the chances. CLUTCH PLAYER (7) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.3 lengths from the winner in second over 2400m at this track. Another forward showing is anticipated.
