Asset Painting Services Mornington Sires 1000m

Track: Good 4   Clouds (Max: 16)   Rail: True Entire Circuit.

Although on a small field the presence of some first starters should ensure a solid clip. We kick off win the Mornington Sires over 1000m. LUNA VEGA (8) resumes having been highly competitive in two good races to date, sixth in the Merson Cooper before a spell which produced the Silver Slipper winner Stretan Ruler. She's jumped out very nicely and sets up perfectly here. KNURL (1) ran well first up in the Showdown which was strongly run. His effort to stick on for a distant third was very good. Back to 1000m here looks no issue. THE SPEED MACHINE (2) won well on debut at Morphettville in a BM68 as favourite when leading throughout. The time wasn't anything flash but he's clearly progressive and draws ideally. BLUE METEOR (3) is a colt by Satono Aladdin on debut for the Maher yard who has trialled well and has claims. MISTIFYZOU (9) is off a maiden win and wouldn't surprise if she got into the money at huge odds. SUGGESTED PLAY: Luna Vega to win.
