Genuine tempo with Mr O'reilly leading the way.
AKKADIAN EMPEROR (1) led and looked home but was nailed on the line last start over 2200m at this track. Has won at this distance before so the extra 200m is not an issue. Will roll along in front or second and is the one they have to beat. PROCHESTER (12) whacked away to finish fourth at his latest appearance over 2200m at Doomben. Dour stayer who won't have any trouble running the trip and the application of blinkers may serve to liven him up a touch. EL JASOR (2) turned his form around recently at the third run back from a break, finishing less than a length off Akkadian Emperor in a 2200m contest here. Cherry ripe now and he has won two from four at this distance so things start to swing his way. LIBERTY PARK (10) carried a similar weight to finish a close third here in a similar race two back. Handy type who is a chance down on the limit. MR O'REILLY (6) defeated some key rivals at Doomben last start. Should have admirers with Angela Jones to steer. SUGGESTED PLAY: Not a lot between the top three - leaning to Akkadian Emperor.
