MARILYN BAROWS (4) sat just off the speed and fought on well to finish second when resuming last start at this course and distance. Has a high cruising speed. Great chance to go one better. GREAT SON (6) was resuming from a spell of three months last start when a solid second over this course and distance. Has the speed to be prominent. Will give a great sight. WELCOME SONG (16) was in contention on the corner and finished second last start over 1200m at this track, beaten 1.5 lengths. Ready to go one better. The winner should come from this trio. LORD FLUGEL (3) is a three-year-old colt on debut by Lord Kanaloa from Flirting Away who has produced a high percentage of winners-to-runners. Jumps from a favourable gate and should be competitive.
