POSH ANNIE (8) won her maiden over this distance at Port Macquarie first-up then found a Muswellbrook BM58 a bit rich last start. Can return to form back in this more suitable contest. WHERE'S THE FIRE (1) hasn't been too far away in his two runs since coming back from a spell. Takes on an easier assignment today so although up sharply in the weights he is sure to be competitive again. OFCOURSEIAM (5) has been about the mark without threatening in her last handful of runs, all in stronger races than this. The application of blinkers for the first time might add that extra spark required. PRINCE RUPERT (6) was ridden closer to the pace and battled on well to be beaten narrowly over this trip at Ballina last weekend. Cherry ripe and can win this without surprising. Distance specialist BRAZEN BRANDO (2) comes here off an eight-week let-up. Raises the bat today and could well celebrate the milestone with a win at a course he has enjoyed success at in the past.
