MASATCHE HAMMER (8) finished just half a length from the winner in second when returning from a layoff last start over 1800m at this track after racing in the leading division. Lightly raced and with a little natural improvement can go one better. GOLD PLAYER (7) met with solid support last start over 1800m at this track when third, beaten 5.5 lengths. Yet to miss the placings in three appearances. Worth another chance. RAISE TEMPEST (10) closed last prep nine weeks ago when he finished fourth over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt. One of the main contenders returning for a second campaign. MEDICI POWER (3) turned in a nice run last time to finish second over 1800m at this track. Likely improver who looks sure to play a big role.
