STROBING (3) is without a win for two-and-a-half years but recent efforts have been encouraging. Battled on gamely to finish fourth under 61kgs over a slightly longer trip at Grafton last start. Has a good record at the mile and likes racing here. Ready to finally break through. DEEP DRIVE (2) made a sustained run to get up for third last time out over this distance at Taree when second-up from a spell. Drawn to enjoy a soft run and is open to further improvement. KEN'KER (1) backs up four days after a respectable fourth over 1400m at Hawkesbury. Placed five of ten at the mile so back in this company it looks a winnable race. DISCREET LADY (6) gets out to a suitable journey for the first time this prep. Grace Palmer's claim brings her in beautifully. AMARONE (4) has been beaten by narrow margins at his last two, most recently over this trip at Grafton. Sure to make his presence felt. SUGGESTED PLAY: Strobing each-way.
