Genuine tempo with So Regal and Dubai Fountain pressing for the lead. QUBELLA (6) is a 7YO mare but looks to be in career-best form. Graduated to the professional circuit after back-to-back wins at the picnics, so proven at this level. The best test this time is the outside alley. DUBAI FOUNTAIN (8) showed good early dash and led throughout to score by half a length last time out over 1461m at Kyneton and the runner-up has won since, so the form looks good. PHAROAH'S DAUGHTER (5) strode forward early from her wide draw when resuming from a spell last start over 1457m at this track only to fade late and finish ninth. Draws ideally here, so should be handy in the run and should prove hard to run down. SAVETHEBESTTILLAST (4) raced below his best last time when eighth over 1600m at Bendigo, beaten 8 lengths. This doesn't look as hard so he is a major player from a nice draw. TAXING (2) was beaten 6 lengths into eighth over 1600m at Werribee last time out but has been freshened and has raced well at this track previously. SUGGESTED PLAY: Qubella to win.
