Off the low draw Il Americana is likely to find the lead at a slick tempo. BIT OF SHOOSH (1) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1500m at Mornington after missing the placings at the previous appearance. It looks the right form and the good draw should ensure he gets every chance. GARFIELD (2) finished fifth two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 1600m at Warracknabeal, beaten just over a length. Draw could present an issue but should be at peak fitness now. KNOCK OF BEERS (5) ran an improved race two back at Avoca and had to step up last time at Werribee, but did well to be beaten just over two lengths. This is a similar grade of race and looks to be well drawn. RED STILETTO (7) is an 8YO mare past her best, but she hasn't been beaten far her past couple and we'll get a line on the last start effort through Catch A Break earlier in the day. TARSHIN (9) hasn't been a factor the past two runs, but logged consecutive second placings at this track the two runs prior. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bit Of Shoosh to win.
