Genuine pace with Wilderness Star finding the front from her low draw. GRAND VOILE (8) led for the judge and pulled out all stops the scramble home when resuming in a maiden over 1208m at Port Macquarie last start. Lightly raced filly who is back in good order for the Lees stable and can go onto better things now. Veteran mare WILDERNESS STAR (5) produced an excellent effort at Taree last time out when second-up from a spell, holding on for a close second at the end of 1250m despite racing three-wide for the trip. Down in grade and strips fitter so she has the right credentials to take this out. RIVOLI STAR (11) has been settling a long way back then make belated charges in his recent races. Might have better luck rounding them up today in what looks a much easier assignment. BONDI PROPHET (3) ran on well to get up for second in a comparable race to this at Ballina last Saturday. Should be peaking after three runs in from a break. TOY STORY (4) hasn't won in ages but is back in grade and can make progress at the third run of the campaign. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Grand Voile and Wilderness Star.
