MORPHETTVILLE PARKS   18 Apr 2026

GOING: S(5)

Sportsbet Green Tick Handicap 1550m

Track: Soft 5   Clear (Max: 24)   Rail: True. (Pent: 5.61)

Mystic Wonder and Sparkup possess good early speed and will set a genuine tempo. MYSTIC WONDER (6) has built nicely into the campaign and looks ready to launch fourth up out to this trip. She was only denied a lip last time at Oakbank and can go one better. VANITEUX (9) has been rock-solid all prep and finds another suitable race to put her best foot forward. She gets in well again with the 3kg claim and draws favourably. Plenty to like. SMOTHER (10) has been kept fresh since just missing here last month, with a tick-over trial keeping him sharp. CASINO SHOWGIRL (13) never looked likely fresh but did warm late. She’ll be better for that and draws kinder. Don’t dismiss. WINE BARRON (7) is better than his two recent efforts suggest. He backs up quickly and is worth keeping onside. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mystic Wonder to win.
