GOING: S(5)

LAKES AND OCEAN HOTEL CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE 2105m

Track: Soft 5   Rain (Max: 20)   Rail: +1.5m 550m-300m, True Remainder.

Firealarm should be able to comfortably find the front. IT'S NOT OVER (7) did nothing in the two runs of her maiden prep then returned last start with a dominant performance over 1505m at this track. Up quickly in trip and taking on a much better field but she has loads of upside and gets in with the same weight after the claim. QUIRKY PRINCESS (9) appreciated the step up in distance last time out when facing the starter for only the second time, closing at a rate of knots only to just miss over the mile at Tamworth. Drops 3.5kgs today and should be even more effective out to today's journey. REDADEL (5) has been about the mark in four runs since his maiden win, the latest offering a game second over 2217m at Grafton where he was in the firing line all the way. Rock hard fit and no issues with the trip like many of his rivals. LEGS POWER (8) worked home one-paced over a shorter trip at Port Macquarie recently. Placed two from three at this distance so worth a look. FIREALARM (3) is a non-winner but can improve back in this grade. SUGGESTED PLAY: It's Not Over to go on with the job.
