Cooper, Bradman and Riverplate can set a good tempo. BRADMAN (2) was beaten by a wide gate in stakes company at Trentham 3 weeks ago, and he will be just about ready to hit his straps third up from a spell. The small field will suit him, and this veteran can find some winning form again. RIVERPLATE (6) led all the way when winning at Trentham 2 starts back, and then may not have coped with the 7-day back up when failing to fire in a stronger field there a week later. She is nicely placed at the weights, and she can bounce straight back into the money here. COOPER (5) set the pace and just missed here 5 weeks ago on this track. He has 3kg less to carry this time, and he has a terrific record around this circuit, including 4 wins. Stick with him. BELARDO BOY (1) is a quality winter performer making his return to the track. He usually takes a run to get ready, but this field is not that strong, and his class will take him a long way to winning this. KOPUA (3) cannot be left out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Riverplate each way.
