Sanono Canyon has good gate speed and likely to set a genuine tempo with the advantage of the inside draw. MEISHO IBUKI (14) is back from a spell of three months. Closed last campaign with a minor placing over 1200m at Kyoto Dirt. Made solid progress when last in work and should have improved over the break. One of the genuine hopes in the race. SANONO CANYON (1) is back after a break of 12 weeks. At the last run before the lay-off he finished fourth over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Set for a bold return. MAKUAKE (9) made considerable ground in the run home to finish third last start over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt. One of the main contenders with a repeat of that effort. FER A FRISER (16) returned from a spell two weeks ago when she was in contention on the turn before being beaten 7 lengths into fifth over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Fitter so anticipating more resistance this time.
