Plenty of pace from Science Degree, Twist Of Gold and Cocoon Bay vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. TWIST OF GOLD (4) couldn't repeat the dose last start when beaten in a photo finish, but still turned in a strong rating in defeat. Should be able to sit on the speed from an inside barrier and if he can handle the rise to 1200m, he'll be very hard to catch. THE LIONS' GATE (8) was too good over 1100m last start when scoring by 1.3L. The way he finished there suggested the step up to 1200m isn't an issue and he looks to get a gun run from the barrier. Drops in weight this time and appears the main danger. SCIENCE DEGREE (3) looks better suited back in trip today following a disappointing effort in this grade last start over 1400m. The claim or Riordan comes in handy and a return to his best form would see him hard to hold out. COCOON BAY (10) wasn't beaten far last start and has to be included. BOAB BOY (1) was solid off a short break last start and can go to another level now. SUGGESTED PLAY: Twist Of Gold can win the last.
