Strong tempo with Nuncio, Epilogue and Maximus Augustus leading the way. PERLINO (14) gave a good sight, and only weakened late when finishing midfield in the Dunedin Guineas at Wingatui 3 weeks ago following on from an impressive maiden win here before that. She would have been close to a good thing had she drawn a gate, but even from her wide draw, she is still the one to beat. HIGH ROLLER (11) was a beaten favourite when finding 2200m a touch too far at this stage of his career. Dropping back to 1600m will do him no harm, and with Opie Bosson replacing an apprentice, he can make amends. Follow your money. OAKSDEEL (13) was doing her best work late over this trip at Wingatui 3 weeks ago, and she is likely to settle back again from another wide draw. If the gaps come at the right time, then she is capable of a top 4 finish. MIRAQUA (7) was not far away at Wingatui 3 weeks ago, and she was a good winner in BM60 company there before that. Include in all top 4 combos. NUNCIO (2) showed a lot of courage when finishing second by a neck last start. Include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Perlino can win this, and stablemate High Roller for the quinella.
