A strong gallop is likely with Poetic Champion and The Princie One taking up the running, closely attended by Miss Jones and Navigator. NAVIGATOR (1) only battled on a heavy track over 1500m at Matamata 5 weeks ago, and it is best to rule a line through that effort. He has not missed a cheque in 4 starts on this track, and is probably better off being kept to the sprint trips. Stick with him. PLATINUM ATTACK (2) had been thereabouts in all the G1 sprints during the summer, and was a game third in the G3 King's Plate at Ellerslie 2 weeks ago. He has a terrific record on this track, and with Bruno Queiroz picking up the ride, he can take this out. THE PRINCIE ONE (6) is up from the South Island after some top efforts this prep. She is nicely placed at the weights, and with the advantage of a good gate, she can measure up in this. Her trainer has not trekked all this way just for the scenery. TIKKI (3) has travelled up with the third pick, and her form has really improved recently. Craig Grylls has been booked to ride, and she can't be ruled out. POETIC CHAMPION (8) bolted in fresh up, and he drops 6kg. Stick with him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Platinum Attack each way.
